Recently PhoeNUX OS (a desktop Linux that uses apt and rpm) has been looking
into switching build daemons for our distro. One of the tools we've been
looking into is called SLBD (Stefan Van Der Eijk's Little Build Daemon.) The
reason I'm emailing you with a feature request for APT is that we need be
able to tell APT which root to install into, and which branches from the tree
(os, contrib, updates, etc...) that it should install from, instead of
looking at all trees transparently. If you could either add these features or
point me to any workarounds that we could research to acheive the desired
behaviour, I'd be very appreciative. Thanks in advance.
