I'm trying to install a new kernel (2.4.21 with RTLinux patch) and I am 
having trouble getting the image to boot.

I have determined that it has something to do with the fact that I am 
running with SCSI.  I have tried compiling support both into the kernel and 
as a modules, and made initrd images all to no avail.  I am using GRUB as my 
bootloader and here is my entry:

title RTLinux 3.2 (pre3) (2.4.21)
	root (hd0,0)
	kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.21-rtl-3.2-pre3 ro root=/dev/sda2
	initrd /initrd-2.4.21-rtl3.2-pre3.img

This ends up with a panic saying something to the effect of cannot mount 
root (sda2).  I have confirmed that /dev/sda2 is in fact the root device.

I also know this has something to do with the "chicken or the egg" argument, 
what has to come first, root filesystem or scsi drivers on the root 
filesystem.  I'm sure there has to be some kernel configuration option that 
I am just missing that will make this work correctly, but haven't a clue 
what it is.

Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
