The latter. I said "so-called" because in your paper
you state that the BIOS frequently overwrites parts of
memory during boot, therefore booting may in some
cases prevent recovery of keys after power-off.

Which means "cold boot" isn't a very good name, that's
all.

No, I don't doubt that you can recover keys from DRAM
after interrupting power.
