Hi,

Thank you for the devfs patch for Linux 2.6. I did not include the patch 
exactly as you posted it. After looking up the devfs functions (and 
checking out other GPL'd drivers) it turns out that you do not need the 
#ifdef statements. These functions exist even if CONFIG_DEVFS_FS is not 
defined (they are then noop's).

I have committed this to CVS and it will be available in 2.0.1-pre3 
(which I will be posting later today).
