I might be totally wrong, but could this also be related to what I'm 
seeing quite a bit lately on ci.d.n where apt-get update hangs after it 
reports an "Ign" for an InRelease file? For an example, see bug 1106279. 
Should that bug be reassigned to apt and/or merged with this bug?
