The security and the release team have agreed on adjusting the policy
to maintain oldstable for three years after the initial release. So
bullseye will be a regular Debian release until August 14th 2024 [1].
Would it be possible to do the same for backports, aligning the policy
with the regular oldstable release? I am sure that change will make it
easier for users (and developers) to remember the Debian release life
cycle.
