Hi, I'm author of Nala, this doesn't seem to difficult to do. I just installed 
and ran the latest version of Nala on Bookworm and it works fine, I also went 
ahead and built it against bookworm and that was fine as well.

I have not done a backports yet, but I am a DM. Is there anything special I 
should do?
