RE: removing debian-consultants list

Hello

Just because there is little activity today (or anytime recently, granted),
does not mean there cannot be any in the future.  As long as actually
maintaining an empty list does not incur any cost to anyone, I would like to
see it continue (and since I'm sure many other, more active lists ARE being
maintained on the same hardware and connection, I cannot see how this can
be).

Due to the poor economy, I am not currently doing much Linux consulting, but
in 1999 and 2000, it was ALL that I did (very happily).  To me, dropping the
list would feel like a nail in the coffin (i.e. it would indicate that we
have given up on consulting coming back).

And since there HAS been a flurry of activity today, we are all obviously
subscribed and ready to pounce on anything that comes on this list.  It is,
therefore, doing it's job.

I'm sorry but I disagree.

I'd really like that list to be alive for another year or five ! It may
receive only spams, scams, ..., for now, but its existence makes 
a lot of sense if we look at the future.

I really think Debian is here to stay.  I am starting as a consultant
offering Open Source Solutions based on Debian.

I will need that list.
