I just found out how to heal this: I booted the Zaurus several times and did not always set the time anew. dpkg apparently has a lot trouble if the date stamps are too old or mixed or somthing like that. I did not read the from the error message but rather guessed that the time is a problem. Still I have to find out why the apt-get process crashes so often. I had to reboot (ie. remove battery) multiple times. The lines are broken by copy and paster from the xvncserver I am working with on my destop to access the Zaurus on a regular screen with a regular keyboard ;-) Best Jan -- Jan-Oliver Wagner http://intevation.de/~jan/ Intevation GmbH http://intevation.de/ FreeGIS http://freegis.org/
