Hmm, that Wiki seems to be giving bad advice. $(apt upgrade) will only 
do a *part* of the upgrade, as it will only upgrade packages that don't 
need new packages or that will not cause other packages to be removed. 
As every upgrade from one release to the next involves lots of library 
transitions, it's always expect that you need to run $(apt full-upgrade) 
or $(apt dist-upgrade). You *can* run $(apt upgrade) first to do things 
in reasonable pieces. For an official advice, please read the release 
notes:
