Re: Weird behavior with mates top panel

Yes, when you land on the "Applications/Places/System" menu, arrowing 
will navigate the menu, just like any regular application's menu.  This 
can get a bit odd when you were arrowing over the other panel items 
before, though.

The way you're supposed to deal with this is either only use Tab to go 
from item to item, or use it only to escape the menu: once you're on the 
menu, hit Escape to close the menus, then Tab to go to the next item.

I think this has always been the behavior of this menu, and feel like 
it's consistent with regular menus.  However, if there's a compelling 
reason supported my enough people, it might be something that can be 
changed in the future I guess.

Regarding Alt+F1: yes, it opens the main menu, but does *not* focus the 
top panel.  The idea is that the focus should go back to where it was 
before you triggered Alt+F1 once the menu closes.
