I'm working on an article

I'm working on an article for Linux Magazine. For this article, I'm 
interested in talking about setting up speech dispatcher with different 
text to speech engines, like Piper TTS or Coqui TTS. This is based on a 
question from this mailing list a couple of months ago. I'm hoping to 
start a series on accessibility issues while deepening my own understanding.

I've installed Debian 13 with the "Install with Speech Synthesis" option 
twice - once with just a command line interface (no desktop 
environment), and once with the Mate desktop, and both options worked 
really well. I have some specific questions about how the systems are 
set up by default, especially regarding how the LightDM login screen is 
able to provide voice prompts before a user logs in, since it appears to 
be using Orca with Speech-Dispatcher, both of which generally run in 
user space.

I'm also interested in any accessibility pet peeves or tips in Linux or 
in general computing, such as programs that are helpful but not well 
known, issues with designing software to be accessible in Linux, etc.
