Hi,

When invoking procmail, debian.org's mail configuration currently
passes any extension address to procmail via the "$1" variable.

The mechanism used for this is more difficult to support with the
version of exim in the upcoming bookworm / Debian 12 release, and a
survey of procmailrcs in use on master.debian.org did not show any
obvious uses of the functionality. DSA are therefore proposing to
update the exim configuration to stop passing the parameter in the near
future.

If you believe this change will cause you any issues, please contact
DSA as soon as possible.

Regards,

Adam
