That's how I'm trying to build it.  This issue seems like it could be an 
incompatible change between 7.0.x and 7.1.x branches for this code.  I 
have a whole write up on how I'm doing this is anyone that is skilled 
with custom kernel builds doing git branch merges and they can see 
what's wrong.  Any takers?

Forky will be based on the Linux 7.1.x or later kernel right?  If so, 
yes, I think dropping all the AX25 packages from Debian Forky and later 
as those newest kernel generations has dropped that support"
