That doesn't seem to be a problem with other environments, possibly
because that hook exits early if vlc components aren't spotted? Why
disorderfs cannot be installed is likely due to its being missing from
testing at the moment:

    $ rmadison -a source disorderfs
    disorderfs | 0.5.11-1      | oldoldstable   | source
    disorderfs | 0.5.11-3      | oldstable      | source
    disorderfs | 0.5.11-4      | stable         | source

Depending on the desirability of making the KDE image buildable again
ASAP, maybe disabling that hook (or making it non-fatal) might be an
idea? I'm no debian-live expert though.
