I must admit that since Wolfgang retired from the project we haven't=20=20
been=20really able to fill the gap.

I have just now hired a sysadmin/developer with GNU/Linux experience=20=20
to=20start working on Debian Edu.

The problem is not the development, the problem is the time-intensive=20=20
testing.=20The new employee in my company will explicitly work on that=20=
=20
and=20hopefully this creates some drive.

My current status is:

   + Debian Edu 12 is usable for server + clients (with some bugs mainly on
     the server aka tjener).
   + Debian Edu 13 is usable as clients, no known issues so far

Debian Edu development has always been kind of independent from=20=20
interested=20consumers. It needs people to work on it, consumers being=20=
=20
interested=20does not help with development tasks in general. Of course,=20=
=20
it=20is good if a project is well-known because of its users and more=20=20
users=20can lead to more developers at the end. So yeah, we should=20=20
finalize=20things and improve the marketing of what we have and make it=20=
=20
more=20transparent what needs to be done next.

Currently, it feels like the overview of tasks at hand is mostly on me=20=
=20
and=20I have failed to allocate time to the project, so I have to=20=20
apologize.
