The required dependency was not declared in the binary package; however, the dependency was correctly declared in build-depends, which made build-time tests and autopkgtests function correctly. This appears to be a case where the Uploaders do not actually use the package. Meanwhile, my hypothesis for why dh-elpa failed to generate the correct binary dependency is this: emacsql-sqlite.el is provided by two packages; elpa-emacsql sorts before elpa-emacsql-sqlite; a dependency on the barebones variant bundled with elpa-emacsql was generated because dh-elpa uses first-match-wins logic. [ Impact ] Elpa-org-roam does not function at all. [ Tests ] This is a dependency issue (non-code), and I verified that it produces the intended effect (resolving #1144053). [ Risks ] No risk. See debdiff for the trivial fix. [ Other info ] In testing and unstable, the full-featured variant of emacsql-sqlite.el is provided by elpa-emacsql rather than by elpa-emacsql-sqlite in trixie, so I used a versioned dependency to correct the issue there.
