Sounds interesting. I'll try it when I have some time. I know gcc has
lots of dependencies, I hope not to confuse :)

Yes, this is the best way (and probably I will need to do it), but I
would like to use the Altix because it has 64 processors and it is a
good environment to teach the scalability in OpenMP programs to my
students
