i saw in the notes of the developer that the PCB is pretty much a
standard vanilla iMX6 Reference Design.  consequently it should be
much easier to reverse-engineer than it first seems.  with the KConfig
options already given on his website it's even more straightforward.

however, yes, applications is where it gets... "interesting".
