Hi, > But please ensure the game will at least show a dialog box with an > explanation, > not a cryptic coredump on the command line or the like. I was thinking of using -march=3Dx86-64-v2 and manually adding the x86-64-v2-support package to the Depends field. That's why it seems mean to me. I don't think the upstream source can discriminate at runtime. The other way to keep everyone happy would be to split the package. There could be an ares-legacy package which would be the same as the current package (i.e. built against v1, no n64 support) and introduce an ares-full package built against v2 with n64 support. Anyone upgrading from the current package would get ares-legacy. We could put one of those NEWS things up when people upgrade warning people about the split and if their system supports v2 they should uninstall ares-legacy and install ares-full. > Thanks for maintaining this package. My pleasure! Thank you also for your cleanup efforts on it recently. Regards, David
