|Package: lutris Version: 0.5.12-* Severity: wishlist|

Hi, excuses for the interruption, this is my first contact ever to
Debian about Packages.

I'm using Debian 12 (bookworm) with the |lutris| package (currently
0.5.12) from the official repositories.

Upstream has released 0.5.22 (for Forky (testing) and Sid (unstable)),
and I'd like to ask politely if an update for Debian stable is planned,
or if there are technical reasons (e.g., dependencies like newer
wine-staging versions) preventing it. My latest wine-staging Version is
11.5.

I'm aware of options like OpenSUSE Build Service packages (they offer
0.5.22 for every Debian Version up to Trixie), but prefer sticking to
official Debian repos for stability and security.

Reason for Asking:

i was try to install an Application called PhotoMosh via Lutris, what
gives me some quirks like Esync and Fsync is not available for the
wine-staging.

Later i got Java Error Messages (all postet on Discord in the Photomosh
Community), PhoMosh is not official supported for Linux.

Today i updated wine-staging to11.5 but i not try it yet. Then i spotted
the inconsistency on debian, opensuse and lutris websites.

Any insight on feasibility or timeline would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and best regards,

Carlo
