Hello Andreas,

thank you very much for picking up this topic. I am just an upstream 
maintainer
but also in high interest in the Debian packaging process and 
communication
between Debian and upstream.

Interesting. I was not aware of this option.

This measures the timespan between "now" and the last upload. Would it 
be
more meaningful to measure the time since the last upstream release that
has not yet been uploaded?

Alternativly, one could measure the time since the last merge request or
patch that has not yet been incorporated into an upload.
