Generally I share your concern, but specifically I find it sensible:

While several projects implement the railroad diagram concept, I am not
aware of a name clash with this one that upstream is literally named
"railroad-diagrams", and since it covers multiple code environments I
would prefer that we carry a single source package by the upstream name
rather than two code-scoped source packages only to address the
hypothetical risk of another uptream project emerging by the same name.
