I use the following in packages that don't work well with i386 etc.

In debian/control:
Build-Depends:
  architecture-is-64-bit,
  architecture-is-little-endian,

In debian/salsa-ci.yml:
variables:
  SALSA_CI_DISABLE_BUILD_PACKAGE_I386: 1
