Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Thomas Goirand <[email protected]> X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected] * Package name : lvmsync Version : 3.3.2 Upstream Contact: Matt Palmer <[email protected]> * URL : https://github.com/mpalmer/lvmsync * License : GPL-3 Programming Lang: Ruby Description : efficiently transfer changes in LVM snapshots Lvmsync efficiently synchronises LVM logical volumes across a network by transferring only blocks changed since an LVM snapshot was taken. It is useful for migrating virtual machines or other block-device workloads with minimal downtime: an initial copy can be performed while the source remains active, followed by a smaller transfer of changes after writes are stopped. Transfers are performed over SSH. Lvmsync also provides optional snapback support, allowing overwritten destination blocks to be saved for later rollback.
