What happens if you downgrade Gtk3 to 3.20.9-1 or so?

This report and #836531 (I think) started happening with the new Gtk, because
at least for #836531

[2016-08-14] Accepted 1:5.2.0-2 in unstable (medium) (Rene Engelhard)
