Compiling glib with --enable-debug (#850610)

Hi all,

I'd just like to draw attention to Bug #850610[0] - a request to 
compile glib with --enable-debug. Per the bug, this is necessary to 
make the Statistics tab of the GTK+ Inspector functional, which I would 
find very handy for developing Geary.

Is this something that is possible or likely?
