Have you seen #895517 ? We're trying to remove libglade2, and it's no longer in 
testing, so I don't think working on it is worth the effort. Instead, the 
remaining rdeps should probably be removed along with libglade2, or maybe just 
let them be in sid. But migrating libglade2 to git at this point or fixing minor 
bugs on it makes little sense IMHO.
