Hi,

preparing the packaging and then asking someone else to maintain it is 
not how Debian works. We could sponsor it and keep it within the team, 
provided you maintain it in the long run and the packaging work complies 
to the GNOME team style. A very quick glance at the repo tells me this 
is not the case.
While are you excluding those files in the first place? The .links file 
is also wrong. Please follow https://wiki.debian.org/Gnome/Git#Initial_packaging
and then add the debian/ folder as separate commit.
