Just 2 more details before I upload:

20. lintian is now reporting warnings like this:
gxml source: binaries-have-file-conflict libgxml-common libgxml-dev
usr/share/locale/ca/LC_MESSAGES/GXml-0.20.mo

You need to remove usr/share/locale from the -dev install file since
the -common package is installing those files now instead.

21. A minor detail but could you update the package description for
-common? There is a typo because "local" doesn't have the same meaning
as "locale".

You could copy the package description style from libspelling-common.
