I am not commenting on the legal stuff, nor am Cc:ing seven mailing lists
of projects I'm not related to.

which, in turn, links to _many_ documents gathered from different sources,
“pointing fingers” to who are the main instigators behind this set of laws
that are being passed on different jurisdictions across the world and that
might affect us all.

I don't have a personal clear position on this, and naturally, much less
cannot I communicate any Debian-wide position. My take on this is that it
is too early (at least for _me_) to understand how this will fan out, and
where would we be supposed to place any controls; I believe all of the
texts I have read are underspecified and unclear, and we will slowly start
understanding how to comply (or not!) with it. I think there are currently
laws being approved over the world with contradicting results, and we
cannot comply with subset A without getting in breach of subset B.
