But, please correct me if I'm wrong (quite a probable situation =F0=9F=98=
=89)...

The author mentions the code to implement a specific patented
algorithm. And the library itself is under copyright between 1988 and
2000. If so, the latest changes are 26 years old. And patents' coverage are
limited to 20 years, right? So... Does that bite redistributability?

Or is your recommendation to judge the library as non-redistributable
because the file lacks a proper license?

Or something else I failed to grasp?
