The "Fancy output" is not new, I'm proposing to make it evolve to do more than 
colouring some words in orange/red. The standard (non-fancy) output already 
adds finaly dots to status phrases.

As far as I could read from /etc/init.d/rc, setting CONCURRENCY=makefile uses 
startpar, which is the "concurrent booting" implementation, right? If that's 
the case, then the current implementation doesn't have problems with startpar. 
But please test independently using the lsb-base from experimental!
