Since a year now, I haven't changed my mind on this: log messages should be kept simple and I don't see a good reason to let the "structured messages using standard escape sequences" feature allowed by "echo -e" to be used by maintainers. I'm then hereby tagging this bug as wontfix. Cheers, OdyX
