Changes for the initial release:

 hadith (0.1.0-1) unstable; urgency=medium

   * Initial release. (Closes: #1143254)
     - "The Sayings of Muhammad" (Suhrawardy, 1905), 443 sayings, public
       domain, parsed and proofread against the archive.org scan.
     - Ships two cookie files: the modernised English as the default, and
       the 1905 wording unaltered beside it.
     - Split into hadith (the command) and fortunes-hadith (the data), as
       bible-kjv splits from bible-kjv-text.

Since the reviewable part of a data package is its copyright file, the short
version of it:

  * The text is "The Sayings of Muhammad", Abdullah al-Mamun al-Suhrawardy,
    published 1905, author died 1935. Public domain in the United States
    (published pre-1930) and in the EU and the UK (70 years p.m.a., elapsed
    end of 2005).
  * The source scan is of a later reprint. Only the 1905 sayings are taken
    from it; the reprint's own preface and introduction are still in
    copyright and are excluded by the parser.
  * The modernisation of the Victorian English is my own work, dedicated to
    the public domain under CC0-1.0. The 1905 wording ships unaltered beside
    it, so the whole of the change is a diff.
  * Packaging and tooling are GPL-3.0+.

debian/copyright accounts for every file, and DATA-LICENSE.md in the source
states the same per file in prose.

Two things that may look like defects and are deliberate, both commented
where they live:

  * debian/control keeps Priority and Rules-Requires-Root although dpkg
    1.22.13 defaults them. Current lintian reports them as redundant, but
    only at pedantic level, while older lintian warns on their absence.
  * The cookie files are not shipped ready-made; debian/rules builds them
    from corpus/*.jsonl with a stdlib-only Python script, no network.

lintian --profile debian --pedantic reports no error and no warning, only
those two pedantic tags.

Prior art for the shape: display-dhammapada and bible-kjv are both in main
on a public-domain declaration for their text, and the split into a command
package plus a data package follows bible-kjv / bible-kjv-text.
