Hi Damian, Nick,

I think we are here for the same goal: advancing Debian, and fighting
over a package wouldn't do that.

There is some expectation, when contributing to Debian, that people are
able to work together. I understand that you both might have got off to
a bad start, but both of you should be able to overcome this. Whatever
has been said so far, please don't let the initial friction determine
how you work together from here.

In particular, I don't think it is useful to decide who is "the
maintainer" of scenefx at this point. You both have invested work in the
package, and there is no reason why that work cannot be combined. The
fact that one of you started working on it earlier, or that the other
one filed the ITP, doesn't prevent you from becoming co-maintainers and
moving forward together.

To make this easier, I have created a repository in the Debian namespace
on Salsa and given both of you access. Please use this repository to
combine your work and continue the packaging together.

I'd also ask both of you to leave the personal remarks behind. Calling
each other's work careless, juvenile, rude, abrasive, etc. isn't going
to help solve the technical or packaging questions. If you disagree
about something, discuss the actual issue and find a solution that works
for the package.

You are both contributing to Debian, and I'd really like to see that
result in a good package rather than in a dispute over who gets to
maintain it. Please remember the common goal, get back to working
together, and make scenefx a good Debian package.
