Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: normal

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for the new version 2.0.0-2 of my package
"formiko".

 * Package name    : formiko
   Version         : 2.0.0-2
   Upstream Author : Ondřej Tůma <[email protected]>
 * URL             : https://formiko.zeropage.cz
 * License         : BSD-3-Clause and MIT
   Vcs             : https://github.com/ondratu/formiko-debian.git
   Section         : editors

It builds those binary packages:

  formiko - reStructuredText and MarkDown editor and live previewer
  formiko-vim - reStructuredText and MarkDown editor and live previewer - Vim mode

To access further information about this package, please visit the
following URL:

  https://mentors.debian.net/package/formiko/

Alternatively, you can download the package with dget using this
command:

  dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/f/formiko/formiko_2.0.0-2.dsc

Changes since the last upload:

  * debian/control: split formiko-vim into its own binary package
    (Closes: #1145686)
    - New formiko-vim package ships the formiko-vim binary, its
      .desktop file and man page, with an explicit Depends on
      formiko (= ${binary:Version}) and python3-pynvim: pynvim was
      previously only a Suggests on formiko, so the Vim mode silently
      failed to work without it
    - formiko no longer ships the formiko-vim binary, .desktop file
      or man page
    - Move python3-m2r2 and python3-pygments from Suggests to
      Recommends for formiko: they are small and worth having
      installed by default
    - Drop Suggests entirely (python3-pynvim is now a hard Depends
      of formiko-vim instead)
    - Add Breaks/Replaces (<< 2.0.0-2~) on formiko-vim for the files
      moved out of formiko
    - Drop dh-sequence-single-binary from Build-Depends, required
      now that the source builds two binary packages
  * debian/rules: add formiko.install/formiko-vim.install to split
    the pybuild install tree between the two packages; override
    dh_installdocs so formiko-vim's doc directory is a symlink to
    formiko's

Build and test status:
  Verified with dpkg-buildpackage that the source builds both binary
  packages cleanly, lintian -EviIL+pedantic is clean of anything new
  compared to the previously accepted 2.0.0-1 upload, debdiff against
  2.0.0-1 shows only the intended changes, dpkg-source -x round-trips
  the source package back to the packaging in Vcs-Git, and an
  apt-get install --dry-run of both .debs confirms formiko-vim pulls
  in formiko and python3-pynvim as expected with no file overlap
  between the two packages.

 Ondřej Tůma
