Morphix at 64mb

I recently tried installing Morphix-lite (.4) to a pile of recycled 
machines with 64mb of RAM.  Although Morphix-lite would boot up off the 
CD with only 64mb, the install process would crash X.  For each machine 
I had to put in another 32mb card, install Morphix-lite, and then switch 
out the card to the next machine.  Is this something others have 
experienced with Morphix?
