BTW, related to my project idea and the example of the
eff.org:

The eff's "action center" software was developed by
CTSG, who were acquired by Kintera.   

I had asked (eff) if there was anyway to work with
them to extend the effectiveness to community
technology interests at State level, but unfortunately
they didnt own the software in the "Action Center"
