Call for FLOSS Users, San Francisco, Saturday February 19th, 2005!
The first-ever FLOSS Usability Sprint Needs You!

Frustrated with open source software? Interested in helping make it more 
usable?

Aspiration and Blue Oxen Associates are hosting the first-ever 
Free/Libre/Open Source Software (FLOSS) Usability Sprint at J. Fairchild in 
San Francisco, California from February 18-20, 2005. The event will bring 
together a diverse group of programmers, usability experts, project 
managers, and users to discuss methodologies for improving the usability of 
Free/Libre/Open Source Software (FLOSS) and to apply those processes 
towards specific software projects.

As part of the usability testing process, we are recruiting volunteer users 
to participate in test sessions on Saturday, February 19th. Testing will 
run from 10am to 1pm, and coffee, pastries and lunch will be served.

Users will be observed and interviewed while utilizing and interacting with 
one or more of the applications being tested. These projects will include 
several for use in the nonprofit and e-Advocacy spaces, including the 
Activist Mobilization Platform (AMP), CivicSpace, and OpenACS. Also 
undergoing testing will be Chandler, a personal information manager, 
FotoNotes, a tool for annotating photos posted on the web, and tools from 
Identity Commons.

Several slots are still available for test volunteers, and we are seeking 
to create a diverse and compelling pool of users for the sessions. If such
