"simple-cdd" is currently stalled, but there's a few simple features i'd
like to add in the near future. unfortunately, i don't know if it even
works with debian-installer rc3(last version i got to work was rc2,
before rc3 was pre-released)- i haven't had much luck with what little
testing i've been able to do.

freegeek has packages for the freekbox3:

http://web.freegeek.org/freekbox3

the folks most active in freekbox3 development are still learning about
more proper packaging, but picking up it a bit. things are always crazy
at freegeek

the freekbox3-takeover package contains a few scripts with all the ugly
hacks. at least one other freegeek startup has been playing with it and
helping to shake out the freegeek-portland-isms.

i've been a little stalled lately, as i've moved to the southwest u.s.
and haven't yet gotten internet access at home. i've been learning
about bio-dynamic farming and working three days a week at a local farm.
a nice change from too much computer work. :)

live well,
