Source: libreoffice Version: 4:26.2.3.2-2 sudo apt install libreoffice-writer-nogui There is now a LibreOffice launcher in the GNOME Activities Overview (or similar app menu for other desktops). This is because libreoffice-common includes libreoffice-startcenter.desktop . The launcher doesn't work in this case. I suggest moving libreoffice-startcenter to a different binary package that is only installed when the gui apps are installed, perhaps a new pckage named something like libreoffice-common-gui. You could move other things there too like the app & mimetype icons; maybe also the gallery, templates, and wizards. Thank you, Jeremy Bícha
