License Checker Regex source

Dear Debian Perl Team,

I am writing to inquire about the regular expressions used within the
Copyright Review Tools, specifically the License Checker.

https://packages.debian.org/sid/licensecheck

I am working on finding a way to incorporate them into a different
language than to Perl and wanted to ask if there is a database or
documentation of the regular expressions that is available. If that is
the case could you please direct me or forward me to the location.
