The Debian services Frexian offers[1] are in direct competition to the
Debian services offered by many Debian contributors or their employers.

And if Debusine would become the official way for building Debian, then 
the SaaS offer of the company maintaining Debusine would be a unique 
selling point.

GitLab is in a different market.

Other competitors did not receive € 485k taxpayer money to develop their 
product by presenting it as "aimed at modernizing Debian's infrastructure"
so that Debian can "attract [and] mantain its community of highly 
skilled volunteers".[2]
