I am perplexed by this kind of arguments.

"We should leave X because it is a closed proprietary platform" is an
argument that I believe the Debian project can support as it aligns
with its commitment to software freedom (although one may also argue
that remaining on X is still preferable because it allows to spread
the message to more people -- that's more or less the same reason why
it was decided to ship nonfree firmware in the installer).

"We should leave X because we oppose Elon Musk's political position"
is a completely different thing. First of all it assumes that there is
a consensus among project members that "we" indeed oppose Musk's
position. But even if there was such consensus I don't think that
Debian should take a side on political issues. That isn't the
project's mission.

If you really want to follow that route, I'd recommend moving this
discussion to a mailing list with a wider audience, -project or even
better -vote. In fact I believe that, before making any politically
motivated decision, it would be appropriate to seek the approval of
project members through a GR.
