Debian stops posting on X/Twitter

Dear fellow Debianites,

A few years ago, Debian decided to use proprietary platforms, including 
Twitter, to relay the information published, in particular, in 
Micronews. We believe that the messages we broadcast deserve to be read 
by a wider audience than just the users of our own mailing lists, IRC 
channels, and web-based news feeds. However, since Elon Musk's 
acquisition of the company in 2022, X/Twitter has evolved into a place 
where Debian users and contributors don't feel safe: it has abandoned 
its moderation policy and its defenses against fake news, giving free 
rein to misinformation and hate speech.

The behavior of this social network runs counter to the ethical 
principles that we uphold when working on free software and Debian in 
particular. Our distribution is unique in that it has a social contract

Statement [https://www.debian.org/intro/diversity] these form the 
foundations on which our community is based. We do not want to be 
present in a place where we cannot ensure that users will be respected 
and where abuse happens without consequences.

So from now on, we will not send or relay our news there, and will not 
reply to any notification or request received there. We invite all our
