This comment is a good example of a general issue with the Debian project with great potential for improvement. Thinking about people is good. But try to be more emphatic and open minded please. When it comes to Debian tools and the workflow, it is not only about people without experience and with low skills. Please be aware that there are also people who simple don't want to follow that workflow and using that tools for that tasks. The bug report system is a good example of this. The translation system is another one. But they currently start to use Weblate to ease the access for potential contributors. But also your news system is a good example. I am a developer but I simply don't want to use git, just to add news items. Give me an email address, a web form or a ticket system (e.g. salsa). The access or entry to Debian tools and its workflow is often to "hard". Regards, Christian
