Package: src:debugpy Version: 1.8.20+ds-1 User: [email protected] Usertags: python3.15 Tags: patch Hi! While rebuilding the python related packages against the Python 3.15rc1 version we found that debugpy fails to build from source [1]. This is due to an added DeprecationWarning in python 3.15 when using fork from a multithreaded program. And the fact that the tests run in a mode that considers all warnings as errors. To actually avoid the warning problem a redesign in the way the debugger runs it's components (and the debugging application) would be required. Instead I added a patch that simply ignores the DeprecationWarning during the tests run. I'm attaching that patch applied to the sandbox [2], this patch allow use to build the packages that depend on debugpy. Please consider applying this or a similar patch, and/or discussing with upstream about a proper fix.
