thanks for working on this. I have no objection on the change so you can go ahead with the NMU.

Ideally I'd like to have the changes in salsa too. If you could create a branch from 6cdabe70b0f149358027cd7793d903b8d4b3bed6 and let me know, I'll merge that into a debian/bookworm branch and tag.
