The culprit is actually ktextaddons: 
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/ktextaddons

Unfortunately, the library is a bit of mess as upstream does not care 
about backwards compatibility and stuff just breaks left and right out of 
the blue. It's also quite difficult to express this in dependencies.

The new version of ktextaddons 2.1.2 will migrate to testing in a couple 
of days and should fix things. You can either downgrade messagelib or 
install the respective packages from ktextaddons from unstable.
